SE v3 Live Demo Available, Video Plugin Released

Today is the big day! Our development team has updated all the plugins and rolled SE v3 out of beta. You can now explore SocialEngine 3 (and all updated plugins) on our live demo sites. The platform and all plugins are now stable, so you can feel free to install them on your server and begin your customizations.

To make the day even sweeter, we’ve released the long-awaited Video Plugin. Existing SE clients can now buy it for $40 US from within the client area. The Video Plugin lets your users upload videos in various formats, converts them to Flash video, and plays them in an embedded Flash video player. Other users can browse, search, and post comments on each other’s videos. We really hope you enjoy this new plugin! Be sure to check our system requirements page for special requirement info regarding the Video Plugin.

I attempted to buy the video plugin and the $ value was not provided in the PayPal form. I suppose I could have manually filled in $40, but I want to make sure it's working properly on your end first.

just download 3.06 from client area on install.html file
This is v3.00 beta of SocialEngine. Plugins for this version have not yet been released, so if you are planning to create a new SocialEngine site immediately, it is strongly recommended that you use SE v2, which can be downloaded from the client area.

    is this the stable version?

    Just purchased and installed:

Be nice if it would have incorporated "expected" functionality like creating Video Categories and User Video Albums.. Otherwise it works well enough. I will will use it seriously once users have ability to catagorize and or create user albums.. To have all videos globbed together into a single page will become an organizational nightmare.

Let me know if this gets included in the next update

Works good!… Just a few on the wishlist… Video Catagories and User Albums, video thumbs displayed on recent actions etc, a hook to display recent videos on front page etc….Then this would kill for a plugin…

    Otherwise, job well done

Does anyone have the Video plugin installed and running where I can see it in action?
