    When i first got SE 4.1.4, each upgrade would pose problems and I had to install fresh for each release. Thankfully, I am still in development stage.

    This 4.1.8p1 is no exception. After upgrading as per instructions, all my styling is gone and what i got is a simple html page. Somewhere in the db seems to affect my css.

    When presented with a list of folders to be changed during the upgrading process, can I just uncheck those folders that are not 4.1.8p1 or do i have to select all folders as listed? What is the difference between "Refresh Pakage" and "Upgrade Package"?

    Does this address the issues with Chrome users not being able to upload images, due to the "upload file" link not being activated?

    Firefox works.
    Google Chrome is not working

    Upgraded. Works better than 4.1.8. Only it's such a shame that every code i have manually edited is deleted. Costs me a whole day to add every custom code again.

    Still haven't earned anything with viglink. Maybe it's an better idea to add commercials before every video upload.

    Hi SE Team…thanks for the upgrade.

    Just wondering if seeing a little clip of code on all of the admin pages is now the 'new normal'?

    For example on admin layout menu, I now see this bit:

    Layout Editor

    I see a similar thing on every admin page. Is this how its supposed to be now? (heck, maybe it was that way all along and I'm just noticing it now! ROFL!)

    hello and thank you very much for bug fixes, but I think that there is still a worry all the same! Following a discussion update instantly disappeared! you know why?

    When I try to do the upgrade, the system tells me that the file crossdomain.xml is not writable. But when I try to change the permissions on this file to 0777, the system returns the file permissions to 0644.

    How I can fix this issue?

    once upon a time in an earlier version of SE, it was possible to not use the portal page if you wanted to make some sort of splash page. I've spent a ton of time trying to figure out if this is still possible in the new 4.x.

    Would anyone know?

    cheers! And awsome awsome work SE Team…(can we get t-shirts or something? :)

    Was there an issue with the 4.1.8 version using a lot of resources? My server crashed because it is taking 40 connections to the DB and using 40-50% CPU usage and i get Internal Server Error all the time. I didn't notice this problem with 4.1.7 so i was asking if anyone is having issues relating to this. Thanks.

    one thing what would be wonderful, would be to create a filter on the events plugin to filter also the location of this event, for example country and city.

    Where is the changelog?? The current changelog link in our account goes to 4.1.7.

    There is an error with you Quick Stats in version 4.1.8.

    Currently the quick stats are showing 7,858 Page views today. We know that is not true because we also have google analytics which only shows about 100.

    We need to know if you have fixed this and others errors before updating. Updates are costly and time consuming especially for customized system like ours.

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

    @Chris Please submit a support ticket or contact us for assistance. Also, please perform a complete upgrade.

    @Global Media The clip of code you mention is likely a translation issue. Please submit a support ticket or contact us for assistance.

    @Anastasios This issue is from a third-party module. Please submit a support ticket or try making the following change: application/modules/[PLUGIN]/Api/Core.php where [PLUGIN] is the 3rd party plugin. Add: public function api() { return Engine_Api::_(); }

    @Colin @Stefano The .xml file is not uploaded. Please contact us to receive the file.

    Hi Anastasios E,

    The problem is from Badge Plugin. I guess this plugin is incompatible with the last version of SE that you use. After upgrading you SE, should the you need also to upgrade your Badge Plugin.

    I did a fresh install of 4.1.8p1 with many SE plugins like music, video, blog etc. I used Snowbot theme. Mysteriously, right at the bottom, after the footer, there is a block of info in very small prints that read:

    SM2 SWF V2.97a.20110918 (AS3/Flash 9)
    ExternalInterface available
    Adding ExternalInterface callbacks…
    Testing Flash -> JS…
    JS -> Flash OK
    Flash -> JS OK

    However, if I disabled the SE music plugin, this thing disappeared. Something wrong with SE music plugin?

    Thanks for all those improvements. Of course there can never be enough. A couple of observations…. The list of changes on this site, from 4.1.7 to 4.1.8 has vanished. Could it be brought back please?

    Also, I noticed that the number of not-approved members displayed on the main admin page is incorrect. It says "There are 4 new members awaiting your approval." but we've actually currently got 255 at present.

    I had hoped that the Profile Photo Upload Page would be added to the Layout Editor because members insist on uploading inappropriate pics. We'd love to be able to easily add profile photo guidelines. Could you put that on the list for 4.1.9?

    Thanks though for the latest raft of improvements.

    Cheers, Tony :)

    I'm also experiencing the same problem as Chris A. I upgraded core and all plugins to the latest versions and now there is a strange message appearing at the bottom of the page:

    SM2 SWF V2.97a.20110918 (AS3/Flash 9)
    ExternalInterface available
    Adding ExternalInterface callbacks…
    Testing Flash -> JS…
    JS -> Flash OK
    Flash -> JS OK

    This is the HTML Source that generates this message:

    <div id="sm2-container" class="movieContainer sm2_debug flash_debug" style="z-index: 10000; "><embed name="sm2movie" id="sm2movie" src="/externals/soundmanager/swf/soundmanager2_flash9_debug.swf?ts=1321812929201" width="auto" height="auto" quality="high" allowscriptaccess="always" bgcolor="#ffffff" pluginspage="" title="JS/Flash audio component (SoundManager 2)" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" haspriority="true" flashvars="debug=1"></div>

    Could you please investigate this issues ?

    I have had a long look at the way you have made it to store members photos etc, can you tell me what logic does it follow, i.e. if i would like to find a particular member pic or file from just looking into the public folder .
    B4 it was easy as the members had sequential numbers now i am really at a lost to how its stored.
    Can it be explained please

    If at all possible, new feature. It would be great if on the top of the profile page, as with FB, to display a member's profile type and location.

    One big problem I have with this version is some users once they have created a profile they go back and leave all the profiles fields empty. Somehow they manage to leave everything empty regardless that some fields are mark as required. You can see an example of those profiles here

    Does anyone has that same bug or is it just me?
