    Hi,

What profile informtion is kept when someone sign in with one of those accounts? Name and emails only? After that the user would have to edit profile, is that it? Thank you…

there are already ready-made one-time purchase mod for this feature. Why would I want to pay good money every month to Janrain to do the same?

will this feature come with the updated version of SE or will it need to be purchased as a plugin?

This sounds fantastic. Another thought that keeps occurring to me is making it more transparent for "likes" and "comments" to automatically be posted to member pre approved sites. This would also make SE extraordinary. Thanks for all your hard work on making this program great.

It was sweet until I found out it's a paid service – not so sweet to incorporate something that one has to be pay for..

This would be gr8 inbuilt feature and we don't have to use third party plugins anymore :)

    This sounds great..

Can we get an estimate of when the next version will be released? Will this be a free version (i.e. 4.x.x) or a major upgrade (i.e. 5.0)?

Also, will Janrain be free through SE or is there a separate cost/subscription? I was about to buy the Social DNA package so this info would be very useful to help me decide.

    Thanks!!

Can you also enable the latest black video player used by YouTube now days? It is more stylish than the previous one which Social Engine still uses.

New version as in upgrade to 4.x or are you about to upgrade to 5.0? If this is to go on 5.0, I think you should be spending more time on making 4.x more stable, faster (optimizing SQL and PHP). Joomla / WordPress are much better about stabilizing releases and keeping a structure that allows older plug-ins to be upgraded – not entire new development projects. As an example – * Community Builder 1.7.1 runs on all Joomla versions, including 1.7, 1.6, 1.5 and 1.0 *

If you keep creating new releases that require new development you will start losing more sites to JomSocial as an example, and Buddypress. While janrain is good add-on, most of what it does is available from current plug-ins like SocialDNA (includes inviter) or OpenCrypt.

Will the full feature set of Janrain as described on their website such as the game engine, widget/API tools, etc, be available to us in this feature or is it just the basics sign in tools?

Hi, How can I link an existing standard account to a new social account? Let’s say that an existing user decided initially to register normally and then changes his mind to use social login. How to do it? Please advise.
